Pancake Day

Continuing our family tradition, pancake day was highly anticipated in our house. All the girls wanted to help out with making, and particularly eating the pancakes. We lined up 3 chairs next to the counter, so that everyone had a good view, and could perform their sieving, mixing or egg breaking task. I was in the middle of the line armed with the frying pan. As soon as each pancake was ready, it was sugared, squirted with plenty of lemon juice and then cut in three.... and consumed almost as soon as it hit the plate!

The little chefs looked wonderful in their aprons... each one made from fabrics of their choice. The oldest liked the more sophisticated paisley pattern, the middle one wanted princesses & flowers, and the older two chose "Old McDonald" for the little one.
